Beowulf
Beowulf is a Scandinavian story brought by the Angles to England in the 6th century, and the became a poem
The story starts with a Danish King, called Hrothgar, who lived in a splendid hall by the sea. One night a monster, named Grendel, killed thirty of the King's thanes
The King and his men couldn't take it any longer, until one day the young earl Beowulf came to help the poor king and defeat the monster for good. Everyone slept except Beowulf, Grendel attacted Beowulf trying to kill him, and ended up losing a hand and shortly died
The Grendel's Mother appeared to avenge her son's death. Beowulf chased he, and fought her in her cave near the sea. Beowulf was facing Difficulties fighting her, but at the end he found a magic sword and slayed her
Many years passed and Beowulf became old, he went to fight the Fire-Drake known that he might die
He killed the Fire Drake but was mortally wounded. His dying words were to nid his men raise his burial ground high on a headland so as to be seen far out at see
